Micro Hydro
Power Program (MHPP)
MHPP is one of on going
programs of EECMY-DASSC. It was started two decades ago. Since its
establishment the program was mainly dealing with turbine/mill
installation in rural Ethiopia. The
MHPP was chosen for the following reasons:

To show that the technology
contributes to the development or rural community , in particular
reduces the burden on women and young people
 |
To
disseminate the technology |
 |
To
reduce the pressure on environment |
Since three
years MHPP up graded this technology and started to promote small scale
rural electrification. In addition Turbine driven oil expeller is also
introduced.
MHPP
activities include:
 |
Production of T3 cross flow Turbine and installation. |
 |
Production of solar water heater. |
 |
Production of Solar cooker. |
 |
Installation of rural electrification (5-15kw) |
All Church
Units are requested to apply for any of the above mention activities.
